據(jù)此前報道，獨(dú)行俠和夏普簽下的是一年合同。賈馬里昂-夏普憑借7尺5寸（226cm）的身高成為大學(xué)最高的球員。

上賽季，夏普在密西西比大學(xué)出戰(zhàn)31場比賽，場均15.8分鐘貢獻(xiàn)3.3分4.1籃板2.4蓋帽；他代表獨(dú)行俠出戰(zhàn)5場夏聯(lián)比賽，場均貢獻(xiàn)2.6分4.6籃板2.6蓋帽。
